Holly Bauble Christmas card

Description

A white deckle edge card has a torn square of red mulberry paper. On this is a square of gold card with deckle edges. A Christmas bauble stamped on white card is mounted on the gold square. The bauble is coloured with Tombow pens. Dots of glitter glue complete the design.

Materials used

• Bright white single fold deckle edge greetings card 100mm x 100mm (4 ins x 4 ins)
• Stamp Funstamps F-D24 Holly Bauble
• Red mulberry paper
• Gold card
• White card
• Black ink pad
• Tombow pens
• Adhesive
• Diamond glitter glue
• Deckle edge scissors

Method

Tear a 7mm (2¾ ins) square of red mulberry paper. It will tear more easily if you paint around the square with water before you start tearing. A small watercolour brush is ideal for this.

Give the square of red mulberry paper a quarter turn and mount it on the greeting card with adhesive.

Stamp the bauble on a piece of white card and cut out a square slightly larger than the bauble.

Colour the bauble with Tombow pens.

Mount the bauble card on a piece of gold card with adhesive. Trim round the gold card with deckle edge scissors leaving a small border around it.

Mount the gold card on the greeting card with adhesive.

Add dots of glitter glue to the white areas of the greeting card.
